We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information with external advertising networks or data brokers.

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when creating and maintaining your profile:
- Identity & Account Data: Full name, mobile number, email address, password, profile photo, and gender.
- Matrimonial & Cultural Attributes: Date of birth, time and place of birth (for Kundali generation), Gotra, Pravara, Sub-caste, Kuldevta, Manglik status, height, educational background, income range, and occupation.
- Family Details: Father’s occupation, mother’s maiden name & Gotra (Nanihal), siblings, native place, and ancestral family tree connections.
- Verification Documents: Government ID proofs (Aadhaar / Voter ID / Passport) submitted strictly for verified badge validation and encrypted in cold storage.
- Device & Usage Data: IP address, device model, operating system, and crash logs to improve app reliability.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your data is processed strictly for the following purposes:
- To display your matrimonial profile to eligible community candidates based on mutual Gotra and preferences.
- To compute Gun Milan astrological scores and Nakshatra compatibility through verified Vedic algorithms.
- To facilitate communication, match requests, and family inquiries between interested parties.
- To notify you about community events, Brahmin Sammelans, and important announcements in your district.
- To prevent fraudulent accounts, scams, harassment, or non-community impersonation.
4. Privacy Controls & Visibility Settings
We empower you with granular control over who views your personal details:
- Photo Privacy: You can choose "Visible to All Members," "Visible to Connected Matches Only," or "Blurred until Request Approved."
- Contact Number Privacy: Your phone number is hidden by default and is only revealed after you mutually accept a connection request.
- Guardian Mode: Parents can configure alerts so all incoming chats and contact view requests require guardian permission.
- Horoscope Privacy: You can choose whether your full Kundali chart is publicly viewable or shared solely upon mutual interest.
5. Data Security & Storage
We employ enterprise-grade security protocols to protect your information:
- All communication between your device and our servers is secured using 256-bit Transport Layer Security (TLS/SSL).
- Passwords are irreversibly hashed using industry-standard bcrypt algorithms.
- Database backups are encrypted and stored in secure ISO-27001 compliant cloud servers located within India.
6. Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party providers solely to deliver core services:
- Payment Processors: Razorpay / UPI for secure subscription transactions. We never store credit/debit card numbers.
- SMS Gateway: For OTP phone verification and instant connection notifications.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Secure cloud database and image hosting.
7. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You have full rights over your data. If you have found your life partner, wish to pause your search, or want all records expunged:
- You can temporarily hide/deactivate your profile anytime from App Settings.
- You can request permanent account and data deletion directly inside the app or by emailing privacy@brahmincommunity.org. Upon deletion, your bio-data, photos, and family records are permanently expunged within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
Our platform does not cater to individuals under 18 years of age. If we learn that personal data of a minor has been collected, we will take immediate steps to delete such data from our records.
9. Updates to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When significant updates are made, we will notify you through an in-app notice or via email prior to the changes taking effect.
